Sonus Festival, one of the most recognized events within the Eastern European electronic music scene, announced this week the first phase of what will be the poster for its eleventh edition, which will take place at the already well-known Sonus headquarters, Zrcé Beach, in Croatia. After celebrating its tenth anniversary in style, Sonus faces the task of presenting an event that maintains the level and quality of last year. To ensure this happens without any major problems, Sonus has recruited some of the best and most acclaimed names within the house and techno industry.

Considered one of the largest electronic events in Croatia, Sonus has become synonymous with avant-garde, good taste, and excellent planning and execution. For almost a week, the festival opens its doors to thousands of attendees. These have the opportunity to enjoy an event located in an aphrodisiac paradise. It is easy to imagine: summer, the beach, glass in hand, and a privileged view of the Adriatic Sea. As if all this were not enough, it adds a stage with all the highest level production, and the best DJs of the moment playing all day and all night. A true dream setting.

And, in truth, with such a poster announcement it is difficult not to get excited. Sonus presents an extensive proposal for its 5-day programming, managing only in its first phase to rival complete posters from some of the largest festivals in Europe. A pleasant combination of industry titans, legends, current acts and, if that were not enough, the inclusion of a considerable segment of live acts make up the announcement of the first phase of Sonus Festival.

For those who are fortunate enough to enjoy this edition of the festival, there will be a lot to choose from and where to go. House, an eternal genre that goes perfectly with the beach essence of Sonus, will be represented through its subgenres, by iconic artists such as the masters of minimal Ricardo Villalobos and Chris Stussy. Tech house, always full of groove and percussion that hypnotizes the body, will be present through legends and current giants of the industry such as Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, John Summit and Dennis Cruz. For those who enjoy melodic, deep and progressive versions of both house and techno, it will be possible to enjoy some of the projects that best represent the face of this movement. The duos stand out Camelphat and Adriatic, both considered references of the current scene.

Last but not least is techno. Of all shapes, and colors (or in the case of techno, all shades of black). There is classic techno, full of groove and modular sounds like that of Kölsch and Pan Potgiants of the current scene such as the head of Drumcode Records, Adam Beyer, and the dutch genius Renier Zonneveld in live format. Legends of the likes of Sven Väth and Richie Hawtin and of course, hard techno with high bpms and energy, perfectly represented by the German duo 999999999the National Hector Oaksand another star, both from Spain and of the moment, Indira Paganotto.

It doesn’t matter what genre or subgenre you like.. Within this festival you will find many of the most experienced artists of the moment. Veterans with hundreds of nights under their belts. Always controlling the dancefloor. This year’s lineup, described by organizers as the largest in the festival’s history, is definitely a very successful step in the right direction for this edition of Sonus.
