The new single arrives in a key year for the group, which tours the world with its Niche Disco Tour 2026 and is preparing for a historic concert at the Hollywood Bowl with Nathy Peluso.

The legendary Colombian group Grupo Niche presents ‘Reality-Is’his new musical release: a song that dares to look at life as it is, without makeup or empty speeches. With reflective and provocative lyrics, the song proposes a critical look at the truths that we often take for granted and at the realities that society builds around faith, friendship and competition as a way of life.

The title of the single plays with the word “realities”, inviting the listener to question what we see and think we need. Through direct and deeply human verses, ‘Reality-Is’ explores the contradiction of a world where solidarity and ego, authentic faith and its exploitation, material wealth and spiritual poverty coexist.

The launch comes accompanied by a video clip filmed in Siloé, one of the most emblematic neighborhoods of Cali, the birthplace of Colombian salsa. With a staging inspired by popular festivals and the participation of natural mountain actors, the video portrays daily life from a raw, collective and resilient aesthetic, reflecting the community spirit that characterizes the neighborhood.

In music, ‘Reality-Is’ maintains intact the unmistakable Niche sound, created by maestro Jairo Varela, who developed it from the founding of the group until his departure. Today, under the musical direction of José Aguirre, that legacy is preserved and evolves with a contemporary look that maintains its essence. Inspired by resources from other musical genres, the song achieves a modern sound that preserves the fundamentals of salsa and reaffirms, from an avant-garde perspective, the unmistakable Niche sound.

The song features musical production and arrangements by Aguirre and was recorded between renowned studios in Miami, including Criteria Recording Studios, with mixing by Carlos Álvarez and Juan José Aguirre and mastering by Mike Fuller at Fuller Sound.

‘Reality-Is’ marks the second release of 2026 for Grupo Niche, following the recent release of “Barranquilla Esta De Moda”, a track dedicated to the cultural energy of Barranquilla and its festive spirit. Both songs arrive in the middle of a particularly active year for the group, which is currently touring not only Latin America and the United States, but also Europe and Australia (Oceania) as part of its Niche Disco Tour 2026, taking its repertoire to stages around the world. These international venues, especially Australia—where the group will perform for the third time—represent key milestones in its global projection, reaffirming the reach and validity of its music internationally. In addition, the group has been nominated for the 2026 Tu Música Urbano Mix Awards in the category of Best Tropical Song, along with Carlos Vives, for their collaboration in “La Tierra del Olvido (Salsa Version)”.

In parallel, the group continues to add milestones to its trajectory. It was recently announced that Niche Group will co-headline a historic concert with Nathy Peluso on July 15 at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, where the Argentine artist will perform her repertoire accompanied by the group’s full orchestra before giving way to a main set by the legendary salsa group. The presentation will open the Jazz Plus series of the venue’s 2026 season and will bring together two generations and different visions of Latin music on one of the most prestigious stages in the world, in a meeting that celebrates the validity and evolution of the genre.
