In the midst of the breathtaking Zamna cenote, Tomorrowland unfolded a new chapter in the beloved festival brand’s ongoing CORE storyline.

Deep in the jungles of Tulum, the organization recently debuted its hotly anticipated CORE stage design, which was engineered by its industry-leading creative team. A recent centerpiece for performances from Diplo, Disclosure and more, the new stage appropriately continues the CORE brand tradition of melding the raw beauty of nature with cutting-edge entertainment technology.

Standing at an imposing 17 meters high and 30 meters wide, the stage’s defining feature is a human head split down the middle by a large screen. The towering, intricate structure preserves the distinctly “human” elements of the original design with an added technological flare for today’s electronic dance music audience.

Equipped with custom visuals and an array of hundreds of moving lights, the stunning stage presents a multi-sensory spectacle at its full production capacity. In total, over 16,000 attendees were captivated by its highly visible Tulum debut.

In addition to its breathtaking visual qualities, the stage is not only a marvel of design, but also a feat of sustainability and efficiency. The entirely inflatable nature of the CORE stage design marks a significant advancement in festival infrastructure considering its portability allows it to be compactly fitted into a single container, making it remarkably transportable and adaptable to locations around the world.

As the Tomorrowland brand embarks on its landmark 20th anniversary celebrations in the year ahead, their CORE stage is set to make its debut at both weekends of their flagship Tomorrowland festival this July in Boom. Check out a photo gallery from Tulum below.
