The Venezuelan singer, based on the island of Saint Martin, presents the first promotional single from her next album
She is a mezzo-soprano, but when it comes to singing, Dessireé does not put limits on her voice. So much so that she is presenting the first promotional single from what will be her next album in the making: the song Tarde lo conocí. And if it is about setting challenges, for the singer this song represents her debut in the bachata genre. A song that reflects the direction that the artist wants to give to her career as a soloist: that of achieving, through fusions, opening paths for herself and other colleagues in a music industry dominated by male voices.
With Tarde lo conocí, which features arrangements by David Paredes, recognized as one of the best representatives of the bachata genre and for working with great exponents of the industry, Dessireé aims to break down the stereotypes that have been imposed on this type of rhythm for years.
Thus, in her proposal, the artist, born in Venezuela and living since 2011 on the island of Saint Martin, in the heart of the Caribbean, combines the pure essence of bachata with instruments such as Spanish guitars and the accordion to which she adds touches of pop, which ensures that she reaches a wide range of dance music lovers.
Tarde lo conocí is a cover of the song originally written by the recently deceased Colombian composer Omar Geles and performed by the also deceased Colombian singer Patricia Teherán. However, much of Dessireé’s personality is felt in this production; especially her desire to be a bearer of profound and positive messages for society.
