Magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) -among them, its president, the Chavista Caryslia Rodríguez- They went to the National Electoral Council (CNE) this Sunday to review the physical minutes of the presidential elections, in order to continue the process of “validation” of the results of these electionsin which the electoral body proclaimed the victory of the president a victory questioned inside and outside .

According to the state channel VTV, Rodríguez attended along with fellow TSJ members Inocencio Figueroa and Fanny Márquez, in the company of international experts and observers, to validate that the physical records match those received in the database of the national totalization centers of the CNEin order to continue with the process -requested by Maduro- to “certify” the results of the presidential elections.

This procedure is moving forward despite the call of the Organization of American States (OAS), as well as that of 22 countries and the European Union (EU), to the CNE publishes the electoral records and allows an impartial verification of the results of the presidential elections.

On Saturday, the majority opposition, grouped in the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD), organized mobilizations inside and outside Venezuela to defend the “victory” which -he claims- was obtained by his standard-bearer, Edmundo González Urrutia, according to “83.5%” of the “records” that he says he collected from witnesses and members of the election table, documents that the Government describes as false.

González Urrutia was the only one of the 10 former candidates who did not appear before the TSJ for the judicial processbecause he believes that the institution will act in favor of Chavismo, contrary to what Maduro says, who assures that the institution is solid.
