The renowned actress Johana Bahamón, together with El Espectador, have started the third season of her podcast La cell, an initiative that seeks to give a voice to people who are deprived of their liberty and post-penalty.

Through the Spotify and Bumbox platforms, Bahamón shares the stories of these women and their time at the Acción Interna foundation, an organization that she created to support them in their resocialization process.

The program has begun with an exceptional guest: Diana Giraldo, cousin of the Colombian singer Karol G.

She is serving a 26-year sentence for kidnapping for ransom in El Buen Pastor prison in Bogotá.

In the interview he told how much his life has changed behind bars and that now, like his cousin, he has decided to sing. Also, he said that he fell in love with her and her partner, who is outside the prison, decided to marry her.

Likewise, Diana shared an emotional story about her reunion with her cousins ​​after several years, among whom was none other than the singer Karol G.

“It was a very special day because we had not spoken to her for a long time, without seeing each other, more than 8 years, but one time she came here, I stood there at the fence, in the patio where I was, when people said: ‘Here comes Karol G’; and the first one I see come in is Jessica, my other cousin, and I start calling her, she looks everywhere and when she sees me she stops there at the fence, touches her face and starts crying, then she’s gone. sees me [Karol G]”, he said.

“It was a very nice moment because it is a place where you don’t want to see anyone, especially a family member, an acquaintance; “A person you appreciate would never want to see him in jail,” he added.

“Life is about opportunities and that was one for me, at the time, to be able to have that meeting with her, to show her certain things that I was needing. And I have received help from her,” the woman confessed in the podcast.
