Several months have passed since reggaeton singer Daddy Yankee permanently left music to dedicate himself to religion and, therefore, to God.
Precisely, this Sunday the Puerto Rican reappeared in public preaching the word in the church “Refugees in His Presence”, located in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico.
In addition, the artist recounted his raw and harsh testimony of conversion that he described as “a second chance.”
“I built my Tower of Babel, I built a tower that reached to heaven (…) I was like those of Babel and I said ‘no one can stop me,’” he said.
The Puerto Rican continued his story saying that God sent him “an executioner” at various times in his life that he did not see coming: “He sent me an executioner called health.”
“One day I am in Colombia on the verge of death, I am in the hospital on the verge of death, one foot here and one foot there… I have been on the verge of death on several occasions and I can tell you about the experience of what what the angel of death sees, to feel it there,” he added.
On the other hand, he recalled that he also saw death up close after being the victim of gunshot wounds and from which he emerged alive “by a miracle.”

“God did a miracle with me since I was little, he protected me from death. Do you know what it’s like to have 47 rifles thrown at you?… I know what death is and being on a hospital stretcher on the verge of death too,” he stated.
He concluded his testimony by saying that in this situation he promised God his service: “If you revive me and help me and don’t let me die, I will serve you.”
The video was shared by the artist on his Instagram account with an extensive message in which he stated that God gave him a second chance and is fulfilling his promise: “Bringing his word to every corner of this world.”
