Despite having expressed his love for the Dominican Republic a few months ago, and thanking the people for their support when he was arrested by the local police, now the American rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine, could be hating the country with which he still has unfinished business. In a video that went viral on digital platforms, a man is heard talking about his desire not to return to the tropical paradise.
“Yailin told me that I can’t go back to the Dominican Republic and I told her: ‘Who the hell wants to go to that garbage?’ Exactly, that’s what I said,” he can be heard with a voice identical to that of the reggaeton player. “No one wants to go there,” says another person who was with him.
The comments against him did not take long to arrive and for the most part the Dominicans went after him, as they affirm that he is ungrateful after all the support he felt when he was imprisoned for having beaten two music producers who worked with his ex-partner, Yailin ‘The Most Viral’. “I don’t like it in the Dominican Republic”, “I wonder how those who carried the banners with FREE TEKASHI are doing”, “Very good so that we can continue with lambones”, “That DR system makes everyone run away”, “ This is good for all the lambones from the DR who like to praise those from other countries”, “In the end the Vega producers were right”, “A man who is not even wanted in NY”, “There they have their idol , lambones”, “Now offer money and they forget”, were some of the reactions.
After being released on bail, the “Shaka Laka” singer had to comply with a series of parameters required by the court. Among them was attending anger control therapy, he could not leave the Dominican Republic for six months and had to appear in court every 24 days. However, Daniel Hernández, as is his real name, has not complied with what was requested.
In December he had to have presented himself and did not do so, after he received permission to leave the country and be able to continue fulfilling his professional commitments in the United States. This absence could be due to the fight he had with ‘La Más Viral’ in the middle of the last month of the year, when he was threatened by the reggaeton singer who was holding a knife in her hand and had to spend the night in jail when she was accused of various crimes.
