The singer Vince Neil told Billboard that “Dogs Of War» has «that old school feel».
«We also want to continue releasing new music, so as not to stagnate. We record ‘(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party)‘ of the Beastie Boys and we also recorded this song, and I think it turned out pretty good.
Neil describes the fiery «Dogs Of War» as « a mix of old school and new school. It has that old school feel, but it’s new music. It occurred to Nikki, who sent me the music and I thought it was cool. “So I started singing it and we got in the studio and it became the song that I think the fans are really going to like.”
