Moa Rivera and Jerry Rivera unite generations in La Carrera, an intense salsa proposal full of emotion and adrenaline.

The Puerto Rican singer Moa Rivera returns in 2026 with a new musical work called ‘The race’ in which he joins forces with the iconic Jerry Rivera, a musical proposal full of tension, emotion and adrenaline that marks a special meeting between father and son within the salsa genre.

‘The race’, produced by Gerardo Rivera (Moa) arranged by Ramón Sánchez, tells a story of competition and confrontation marked by intensity, pride and emotional tension, where a rivalry between two characters leads them to a confrontation that tests their limits.

The song uses a real race as a metaphor for the clash of character and determination, a concept that is literally transferred to the music video recorded and directed by Raymond “Timeline” Ortiz on the track in Salinas, Puerto Rico, where Moa Rivera and Jerry Rivera face each other in an intense race full of speed, strategy and adrenaline.

Beyond the story that the single presents, ‘The race’ stands out for bringing together for the first time Moa Rivera and Jerry Rivera as father and son in a salsa production, celebrating family connection and mutual respect through music.

The collaboration highlights the interpretive strength of both artists and the natural chemistry that arises from sharing the stage and microphone.

With this launch, Moa Rivera continues to consolidate its identity within contemporary salsa, while Jerry Rivera contributes his unmistakable stamp, achieving a powerful combination that unites generations within the genre.

‘The Race’ is now available on all digital platforms along with the official video recorded in Puerto Rico: https://youtu.be/lMQ8j3BHvNA?si=_nn6WMqOSGHms-jU
