The president of Argentina, Javier Mileiwarned this Saturday that if the National Congress does not approve the package of broad and profound reforms promoted by his Government, the country will experience a “catastrophe of biblical proportions.”
“Unless we do what is necessary now, “We are heading towards an economic catastrophe of a magnitude unknown to any living Argentine,” the president predicted in a message broadcast on the national radio and television network on Saturday night.

Milei defended the bill sent to Parliament days ago, an initiative that contains extensive reforms in various areas and that, if approved, grants extraordinary powers to the Executive in economic, financial, social and security matters, among others, until the end. 2025, with an eventual extension for another two years.

The head of state invited citizens to demand that parliamentarians approve the bill, which has sparked strong controversy due to its scope in terms of delegation of powers to the president and the magnitude of the proposed reforms.
