It finally happened. The Red Cap and the Rap Devil. Live. Together at last. Sort of.

Last night, MGK (aka Machine Gun Kellyreal name Colson Baker) debuted his highly anticipated collab with Limp Bizkit lead singer Fred Durst (born Frederick Allen Mayne III) live at his show in Perth, Australia. Titled “All Around the World,” the track is a nu metal throwback complete bouncy riffage and “Break Stuff” inspired by libs from one William Frederick Durst. After months of build-up, MGK is finally doing good on the promise—or looming threat, depending on who you ask—to release the track in full after previewing pre-show snippets to dedicated fans.

Before letting loose on the unsuspecting crowd in Perth, the Artist Formerly Known as Machine Gun had this to say:

I called up my friend Fred Durst, I said, “Sir. Drop somethin’ on this.” What he dropped… the rest is history.

Sadly, the Chocolate Starfish could not be in attendance, but MGK and his band removed themselves nicely rocking out over Durst’s pre-recorded bits. Also, the lack of any verses, despite previous live snippets and online leaks, suggests the track is still being worked on. Although it remains to be seen when the track will receive a proper commercial release—and whether it signals MGK’s return to rap—it will likely feature on MGK’s next album.

Fans can catch MGK right now on his Lost Americana Tour with Wiz Khalifa and special guest Julia Wolf. After that he’ll be hitting up Summer Sonic in Japan and Rock in Rio in—you guessed it—Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Starting in June, Limp Bizkit will be hitting up the summer festival circuit.
