EL VAQUILLA FLAMENCO BEAT CLUB OFFERS A MASTER IN RUMBAS
Starting April 15 at the LA PARCERÍA Cultural Center Madrid
The objective is to overcome the musical complexes imposed by the Anglo-Saxon empire and value the role of exchange between the peoples of Ibero-America.
The master takes place in 4 sessions and proposes an immersion in the history of rumba, flamenco and Latin music through stories silenced by power and academies. Addresses the cultural processes that come together in popular music in Spanish. The master is based on two foundational axes: 1) Rumba as a sublime manifestation of libertarian thought and 2) dance as a means of liberating people and hips. Therefore, the theoretical and narrative foundations will be followed by the practical ones. From head to toe.
The master has been designed by José Manuel Gómez Gufi, journalist, writer and DJ. Member of the REDPEM (Network of Music Journalists of Ibero-America). Director of the YOU/VOSOTROS pocket book collection.
EL VAQUILLA FLAMENCO BEAT CLUB, is a platform for the dissemination of flamenco, Catalan and fusion rumba, created and directed by Juan Maltés, DJ, vinyl collector and director of MADRIRUMBA FESTIVAL.
The master consists of:
4 Masterclass taught by José Manuel Gómez Gufi.

-Presentation and analysis of a historical rumbero album. By Juan Maltés and Gufi (30 minutes). On April 15th “Los Amaya” (Emi 1971)

–SESSION DJ RUMBERA of EL VAQUILLA FLAMENCO BEAT CLUB with Juan
Maltese and DJ Gufi.
GRADES:
-Diplomas are not distributed. Rumba knowledge is not something that can be hung on a wall.
