In a heartfelt move resonating far beyond the festival stage, Martin garrix has been named the newest ambassador for the Prinses Máxima Center.
Prinses Máxima is one of the leading pediatric oncology centers in the Netherlands. With roughly 600 children in the country facing cancer each year, the institute’s mission is critical towards improving survival rates and providing the best possible care for young patients.
Garrix is now lending his influence to support the center’s groundbreaking research and treatments for childhood cancer. The Dutch EDM superstar recently visited to host a DJ course with individual instruction for several young cancer patients.
Sharing his appreciation for the Princesses Máxima’s mission, Garrix said he looks forward to teaming up with the organization as an official ambassador.
“I think it’s fantastic what the Princess Máxima Center does for children with cancer,” Garrix said. “I know that so many children worldwide are still dying from this disease. This motivates me to contribute to the important mission of the Máxima to cure every child with cancer, with the best possible quality of life. It is an honor to be part of an organization that plays such an important role in the lives of these children.”
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Martin Garrix as our new ambassador,” added Rob Pieters, the Chief Medical Officer at Princess Máxima Center. “His support will help us take our mission globally and make a difference for all children with cancer. Together we can raise awareness that too many children are still dying from this disease and that there is an urgent need for better treatments.”
