The Brazilian president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silvavisited this Monday a group of Brazilians and Palestinian relatives repatriated last Saturday from the Gaza Strip and guaranteed them support until they are installed in the South American country.
“(I wish you) a good stay in Brazil. “We are going to be accompanying them until they fix everything.”the progressive president promised, at the lunch he offered to the repatriates in the Transit Hotelin the Brasilia Air Basewhere they are staying temporarily.

He also recalled that Brazilian diplomacy will continue to be in contact with Israel to rescue more fellow citizens, as well as their relatives, from the Palestinian enclave, subject to heavy bombing by the Hebrew State for two and a half months.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are still 23 Brazilians who are waiting for approval from the Israeli, Egyptian and Palestinian authorities to cross the border crossing. Rafahwhich connects to Egypt with Loop and it is the only access enabled for the exit of civilians.
