Last Friday, December 1, was the long-awaited night for Karol G lovers in Colombia, at least the lucky ones who were able to purchase a ticket for her ‘Mañana Sera Bonito Fest’, which will have a second night on Saturday, December 2. And she not only delighted those attending the first show with her songs and stage show, she also did it with some words that raised their spirits to the maximum.

Unlike what was seen of ‘La Bichota’ in the concerts of her recent tour of the United States, in her native Medellín there was a special plan by Carolina Giraldo Navarro: with mechanical attractions, food, variety areas, as many artists in stage, lights and all kinds of experiences similar to those of the best festivals in the world. Thus, her paisa closes a year 2023 full of successes and thanks those who believed in her from the beginning.

And since Bad Bunny dedicated a few words against Karol G, and other Colombians, in the songs of his album ‘Nobody knows what is going to happen tomorrow’, she also wanted to return those words of the ‘Bad Rabbit’ to a crowd.

What did Bad Bunny say about Karol G on his album?

Bad Bunny’s recent release had 22 different cuts, in which he had dedications, good and bad, with other people from the music and entertainment industries. In Colombia there were mentions of Shakira and her phrase “women no longer cry, women make money”, in addition she also included Sofía Vergara in a song and referred to the extinct drug trafficker Pablo Escobar.

But almost pointing out that Karol G did not deserve the nickname ‘bichota’, since it is a term that in Puerto Rico has been used to refer to a high-level drug trafficker, in the song ‘Vuelve Candy B’ this fragment is heard:

Hey, I come from PR, where the real bugs come from, what a coincidence, those who have been more street always come out with bugs

Obviously, there was quite a stir on social networks and followers of urban music artists over these lyrics and no official response had been given from ‘La Bichota’ from Medellín.

Karol G’s response, in full concert, to Bad Bunny

But in the presentation on December 1 at the Atanasio Girardot in his hometown, having one of the most exciting moments of the concert, came the response that made those who were there euphoric. Although there was no need to mention the Puerto Rican, everyone understood and the message went viral on different social networks with these words:

Understand that there may be ‘bugs’ in the world. But from here… It’s the real ‘Bichota’, daddy!

On Facebook, ‘X’ (former Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and all known social platforms, the trend in Colombia and parts of Latin America became Karol G, the word ‘bichota’ and the name Bad Bunny. And the usual memes were not long in coming.
