Jeinson Manuel, one of the most prominent and authentic performers of Peruvian salsa, presents ‘Versiones’, his most recent record production, an album that pays tribute to love through salsa adaptations of great classics of music in Spanish. From ballads to rancheras and unforgettable boleros, Jeinson offers an elegant, intense and modern proposal, reaffirming his place as one of the great exponents of the genre.
‘Versiones’ is composed of eight songs carefully selected and performed with a unique vocal strength and style that has characterized Jeinson throughout his career. Among the songs are: ‘My way of feeling’ (original by Pedro Fernández), ‘I drank your memory’ (by Victor García), ‘A medio vivir’ (popularized by Ricky Martin), ‘Inolvidable’ (by Laura Pausini), ‘You’ (remembered by Luis Miguel and other great voices), ‘Algo más’ (original by La Quinta Estación), ‘La mediavuelta’ (immortalized by José Alfredo Jiménez), and ‘I’m with someone else in bed’ (a topic with great emotional charge).
The first single, ‘My way of feeling’, is now available on all digital platforms and has begun to resonate strongly among his followers and lovers of good salsa. “This album is born from my memories, from those songs that marked stages in my life and that of many. I wanted to give them new life in salsa, with respect for their roots, but with the passion that identifies me in each performance. Each song was chosen with my heart and worked on with a top-level musical team. I am very proud of this project,” commented Jeinson Manuel.
‘Versiones’ was recorded at the House of Hits studio, considered one of the best production spaces in Peru, and featured the participation of the most prominent musicians of the national salsa scene. The result is an impeccable album, with contemporary arrangements, powerful brass, and a vocal performance that excites and conquers.
