Israel finalizes preparations for the release of the 90 Palestinian prisoners, including 9 minors and 69 women, who will be exchanged this Sunday for three captive hostages in Loop whose departure from the Strip was stipulated starting at 4:00 p.m. local time (2:00 p.m. GMT).
He Israeli Prison Service announced that the Palestinian prisoners are already in the Ofer prison (in the West Bank, north of Jerusalem), where they will undergo medical examinations and identity tests.

From there, 76 of the prisoners will be transferred within West Bankwhile another 14 will go to East Jerusalem.
Of the captives who will be released, the first to enter prison, identified as Nawal Mohamed Abdel Fatihadid so in 2021. Two detainees follow in seniority in 2022, 23 in 2023 and the rest throughout 2024, according to the list of prisoners to be released to which EFE has had access.
The majority of released prisoners are women (69), while 21 are men.
Among those detained there are also nine minors: eight aged 17 and one aged 15, identified as Mahmud Mohamed Daoud Aliwat. There are eight boys and one girl.
According to the Prison Service statement, detainees headed to East Jerusalem will be taken to the city’s Russian Complex, from where they will be released by the Police.
“We note that the 90 names are part of an agreed list that includes 120 names of the same category, since the ceasefire agreement stipulates the release of 30 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for one civilian prisoner of the occupation“added the Islamist organization Hamas in a statement.

Among those released are also Jalida Jarrar62 years old and member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), the sister of the Hamas politician Saleh Arouri, Dalal Jaseebeither Abla Abdelrasoul68, wife of PFLP leader Ahmad Saadat.
In exchange for the 90 Palestinian prisoners, the hostages Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher and Emily Damari that have just been transferred to the Red Cross inside Gaza for their freedom.
Gonen, a 24-year-old Israeli-Romanian, was kidnapped during the music festival attack Novaand Damari (the only hostage with British nationality, 28 years old) and Streinbrecher (31 years old) were captured in the kibbutz Kfar Aza.
