The Israeli Army has dismantled the tunnel structure of Hamas in the north of the Strip Loopwith Jabaliya as a center, where they have found bodies of five hostages who had already been confirmed dead.
“In recent weeks, the 551st Brigade of the 162nd Division secured control of the camp area Jabaliyaone of the operational centers of Hamas in the Gaza Strip“said a military statement.
The operations included “fierce battles” during which “many terrorists were killed by soldiers” and hundreds of weapons were located, reported the Israeli Army spokesman, Daniel Hagari.
The bodies that were found correspond to those of three soldiers who were taken captive on October 7, Ziv Given, Ron Sherman and Nick Beiserin addition to civilians Eden Zacharias and Elia Toledano.
“As part of the operation, and following advanced intelligence information (…), they exposed a network of strategic tunnels that served as Hamas headquarters in northern Loop“said the Army.
The underground base at Jabaliya included two levels: the first about ten meters deep and the second tens of meters deep.

At the end of the mission, the forces dismantled the Jabaliya underground headquarters as “part of effort to target Hamas’ tunnel infrastructure and attack its senior commanders and strategic capabilities“said the military spokesman.
