The status of the secretary general of the Islamic Jihad is that this prisoner exchange is “all for all”, which involves the release of all Israeli hostages by all Palestinian prisoners, in addition to permanently ending the Israeli attack on the Palestinian enclave, according to the source.
Islamic Jihad is a radical Palestinian organization considered terrorist by Israel, USA and the European Unionwhich operates in Loop, West Bank and the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.
In addition to this meeting, which was initially scheduled for this Saturday, the same Palestinian source assured that there are preparations on the part of Egypt as a mediator to organize a tripartite meeting that also includes the head of the political wing of the Islamist group Hamas, Ismail Haniye.
Haniye met last Wednesday in the Egyptian capital with the country’s Director of Intelligence, with whom he discussed several proposals for prisoner exchanges to reach a temporary truce.
