British death metallers INGESTED They release their latest single today, «Pantheon«. The new brutal anthem comes on the heels of the band’s latest album, «The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams«, which will go on sale on April 5 through Metal Blade Records.

Not many top-notch death metal bands can record and release an album a year and follow it up with extensive touring. That has almost never been the case with the crushing and visceral INGESTED from Manchester, England. Since the release of her fifth album, «Where Only God May Tread«, from 2020, the band has been on a creative streak that has produced almost a full album each year – even through the COVID-19 pandemic – but it has led to the kind of musical growth that only comes from practicing, playing and writing constantly.

The band’s latest production, «The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams“Not only is it as innovative and brutal as their last album – the grim, firestorm”Ashes Lie Still» – but shows a band willing to expand their creativity without sacrificing the ferocity that made them one of the most impressively destructive technical death metal bands on the scene. «The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams» is proof that once INGESTED He sniffs out a trail of musical blood, follows it voraciously until he discovers a putrid feast.

Produced by the band with the help of the recording engineer Nico Beninatothe album features the participation of Mark Hunterof Chimairawho contributes his voice to the song «In Nothingness«, and from the singer of Sylosis Josh Middletonwho collaborates in «Expect To Fail“, as well as the striking cover art of David Seidman.

Whether pummeling listeners with double bass rolls, blast-beats and pounding rhythms; tearing it all up with jagged, staggered riffs and stinging harmonics; or flooding the mix with bursts of minor key melodies, INGESTED has injected all his experience, skill and artistry into the ten scathing new songs from «The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams«. Where the new album differs from its predecessor is not in its brutality or melodicism, it is in the composition and the way the melodies flow together in a way that is vicious, but not morose.

«Ashes… “was built in the time of COVID, and the mood of that album definitely reflects that time,” the band notes, “Con’The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams‘, we wanted to raise the energy a little. As much as we liked what we did with Ashes…, its depressive tone is not something we wanted to continue exploring as much. There are definitely some dark moments in…Tide…but for the most part, we took a more upbeat approach to the songs this time around.”
