From Dreams to Reality: Omar Montes and Nicky Jam Smash with Their Collaboration ‘Oye BB’
Multi-platinum and Latin GRAMMY® nominated artist Omar Montes has released an explosive collaboration with Latin urban superstar Nicky Jam, titled “Oye BB.” This vibrant reggaeton marks the first musical union between both artists and represents another milestone in Montes’ amazing year.
The connection between Omar Montes and Nicky Jam was created thanks to a tattoo artist friend, as Montes revealed in a live broadcast on Instagram. The collaboration became a dream come true for Montes, and Nicky Jam’s support was immediate after hearing the infectious chorus of “Oye BB.” According to Montes, Nicky Jam expressed: “They wanted to teach me more, don’t teach me more songs, this is the one that is going to break.”
The challenging rhythm of the song contrasts with the lyrics, where both artists narrate the process of conquering a woman, exploring deep desires and expressing everything they are willing to do to earn her attention.
The composition of “Oye BB” bears the signature of both singers, along with Abner Cordero Boria, Andrés Jael Correa Rios, Jon Leone, Juan Diego Medina Vélez, Marc Monserrat and Pedro Elipe. Production by Leone, Tunvao, and NEON16 powerhouse producer Jota Rosa contribute to the song’s infectious energy. The video, filmed in Miami, FL and directed by Borkinson, complements the song’s vibrant atmosphere.
Currently, Omar Montes is nominated at the 24th edition of the Latin GRAMMY® in the category “Best Flamenco Album” for his acclaimed second album, “Quejíos De Un Maleante”. Additionally, he is scheduled to perform at the awards ceremony taking place next Thursday, November 16.
