The urban singer Don Omar announced a few days ago that he would undergo surgery after confirming that he has cancer. Now, after a successful result, the iconic Puerto Rican artist revealed that he will soon return to the stage.

The author of worldwide hits such as ‘Dale Don Dale’ and ‘Danza Kuduro’ did not offer details of the type of cancer he is suffering from or the treatment he is receiving, but he assured that he will resume his world tour in August.

“Behind every success, there is a multitude of people who have never stopped giving me their unconditional support. I not only thank them for so much love, but I also thank them for always being there in the good times and the not so good times. THE BACK TO REGGAETON TOUR IS GOING ON!” she wrote on her social media.

As is known, William Omar Landrón, real name of Don Omar, self-proclaimed “The King” of reggaeton, underwent surgery in recent days and is confident of his speedy recovery to return to the stage and continue enjoying what he loves most.

“Today I woke up cancer-free and grateful. Thank you for your good wishes, prayers and thousands of messages. My operation was a complete success and now I have to recover,” the artist said in a message on his official Instagram account, after having revealed the day before that he had been diagnosed with this disease.
