DARK CHAPELled by guitarist/singer/producer/former member of Black Label Society (2014 to present) Dario Lorinahave released the second single, «Hollow Smile«, from their debut album.

The video of the theme, directed by Justin H. Reich (Black Label Society, Ace Frehley, Rex Brown), can be seen below.

In “Hollow Smile“, a palm-muted thrash rhythm resonates beneath his airy intonation in the verses. It climaxes with a chantable chorus accelerated by an energetic rhythm.

“I recently read a quote that reflects the meaning of this song well: ‘A man’s mind is the greatest battle he faces,'” he explains. Dario Lorina.

Led by Lorina and with Mike Gunn (low) and Luis Silva (drums), the band stands out on their debut album, «Spirit In The Glass«, which will go on sale on February 28 through MNRK Heavyhis hermetic art with the guitar and his sludgy rhythms with magnetic melodies, bluesy phrases and grunge mystique. Striking an elusive balance between the dark and the heavy, the ethereal and the passionate, «Spirit In The Glass» is like Lorina describes:

“It is the culmination of all artistic influences, whether musical or otherwise.”

Dario Lorina He began his professional career in 2006, when he was 16, as a touring guitarist for the late Jani Lane (ex Warrant). At 19, he joined the veteran metal group Lizzy Bordenwith whom he toured for four years. He released two instrumental albums with Mike Varney in Shrapnel Records in 2013 and 2017 graduated, Dario Lorina and Death Grip Tribulations. On January 1, 2014 he joined Black Label Society and since then he has been touring around the world with Zakk Wyldeplaying guitar, piano and vocals ever since. Lorina fought a solo duel with Wylde in the album Black Label Society of 2022 «Doom Crew Inc«, and joined Zakk Wylde on the magazine’s January 2022 cover Guitar World.

“The guitar never left my hands,” he laughs. Years of working with wood followed. At the age of 16 he responded to the call of Jani Lane for an audition and soon after he ran into the former leader of Warrant.
