Daniela Darcourt has been working hard on her most recent album ‘I am’ who has just seen the light.
In the week prior to the launch of ‘Soy’, his fifth studio album as a soloist, Daniela Darcourt has starred in a special ‘Siriusxm’ radio in Miami, FL and has participated in the successful concert made by Tito Nieves in his native Puerto Rico commemorating his 50 years of artistic career; Months before, he shared the stage with the great combo of Puerto Rico and Dominican Yiyo Sarante and recently was in charge of closing the concert in a crowded National Stadium with the great teachers such as Victor Manuelle, Rubén Blades and Marc Anthony.
Since the launch of his first album in study as a soloist only 6 years ago, in 2019, with ‘That is me’, Daniela Darcourt has managed to settle at the top of the salsa circuit in the region and is one of the artists who pushes into the resurgence of the genre; In addition to being one of the most outstanding interpreters of the sauce not in vain they baptized her as “the most singing.”
This 2025 gives us a Daniela consolidating a new facet as co-author of 4 of the 5 songs that make up his new album ‘I am’ produced by the genius Caleño Oilo who was arranged and participant in the musical production of the success of the success “Lord Lie” that showed Daniela to the world.
The first single of ‘Soy’ is called ‘The scoundrel’ and it is a song that deals with a girl who tired of so many excesses of her partner decides to go out to let herself be carried away leaving the recato and the modesty at home; A composition by Daniela with Motiff, Pipo Salas and Judy Buendía, who was written in February 2023 and found two years later his time to see the light.
The album is titled ‘I am’ because the Peruvian singer expresses that “the Daniela of the first album did not know that I was going to have a record. This Daniela that you have in front does know who it is, I know who I am! That is why my album is called that, ‘I am Daniela Darcourt’, and Daniela Darcourt is this process of constant evolution, this process of constant discovery. I have never left static before the failure. I am and I will continue fighting and fighting, and showing the world that in Peru there is a lot of talent. ”
The second single from the album is called ‘who gives most’ and is the only one that has a guest artist, the Puerto Rican revelation Christian Alicea with whom he joins a great friendship. The song has been written by Daniela Darcourt and the great Panamanian singer -songwriter Grettel Garibaldi, and we are sure that he will speak for the interpretation of both and by the video clip that accompanies the launch.
