In December of last year, Daddy Yankee surprised with the revelation that one of the reasons why he would step away from the stage was to fully dedicate himself to his faith, openly declaring himself a Christian. Now, the Puerto Rican singer released “Donante de sangre”, a song dedicated to his love for God, which is already receiving very positive reviews from his fans.

Daddy Yankee, the greatest exponent of reggaeton, announced two years ago that he was about to embark on his last tour, which reached the United States, Canada, Spain, a large part of Latin America, including our country, and – of course – his native Puerto Rico, where “La Última Vuelta World Tour” closed.

It was during this concert in which the 47-year-old singer told the 8 thousand followers who accompanied him, at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium, that after concluding the tour, he would focus on a new purpose; preach through the word of God, highlighting that he was a fervent believer in the Christian church.

“My people, this day for me is the most important day of my life and I want to share it with you because living a life of success is not the same as living a life with purpose,” he said on that occasion.

Daddy, performer of great hits like “Gasolina” and “Rompe,” confided that, for many years, he tried to find satisfaction through money and fame, but he never filled the void that housed him.

“Sometimes I appeared to be very happy, but something was missing to make me complete and I have to confess that those days are over, someone was able to fill that void that I felt for a long time (…) that is why tonight I recognize, and I am not ashamed to tell the whole world that Jesus lives in me and that I will live for him,” he expressed, receiving praise and applause from those present.

From there, the Puerto Rican remained active on his social networks, as he promised in his last recital, sending messages of faith to his followers and last night he surprised with the surprise that in a few hours he would release “Donante de sangre”, a song Christian with whom he resumes his musical career.

Visibly excited, Yankee assured that he was ready to offer “music with purpose”:

“I had said that I was going to use all my platforms for the kingdom and that is what we are doing, carrying the word, carrying testimonies and music, which is also the ministry of this servant, of the talents that God gave me to use for his purpose, I feel very pleased, I feel fulfilled because, as they told me: ‘They made you like Pedro, Pedro did not change his job, but his purpose,'” he stated in an Instagram publication.

A little more than 10 hours after “Blood Donor” was released, it already has more than 289 thousand views and 60 thousand reactions.
