Out now via Hellbent Records/Polydor Records, “Sippin’ Yak” is signature Cloonee with its thumping bassline and vintage, gritty vocal samples. The song samples “We Like,” an unreleased record created by acclaimed hip-hop artist Tracey Lee around the turn of the century. Despite never releasing, Universal owned the song’s master, a label rep tells EDM.com.
“I’m honestly shocked the sample got cleared so fast and we’re ready to release,” Cloonee said in an Instagram post prior to today’s release.
Fans can soon catch Cloonee at his upcoming performances during Miami Music Week 2024including a takeover of the iconic Club Space by his Hellbent label and a high-profile show at Factory Town. He’s also set to perform at this year’s Coachella festival.
