I work as a photography assistant for prominent rock photographer Jill Furmanovsky, who launched me into taking photos at gigs. I fell in love with the music scene and capturing it in all ways possible. When photos weren’t enough I picked up a pen and started writing about the bands I was seeing. Now I am with CLUNK I can hopefully do that a lot more!

We shed light on some of the weirdest and most wonderful hidden gems on this year’s Glastonbury lineup

While you’ll all be very busy exploring the absolutely massive lineup at Glastonbury this year, we know that sometimes the best festival experiences come from stumbling upon something unexpected.

So, for your convenience, we scoured the lineup and found some more off-kilter picks, for when it all gets a bit much.

THE OLD SCHOOL

new york brass band

The New York Brass Band is playing throughout the weekend at The Gateway stage. If you have some spare time, head down there and dance along to your favorite songs played in the old jazz style.

    NON-HUMAN

Mr Peewee The Drumming Puppet is another act playing throughout the weekend, this time at the Pavement. Possibly the quirkiest on this list, Mr Peewee the Drumming Puppet delivers exactly what his name suggests: he is a puppet that drums! Glasto is all about seeking out the strange and having a good time. If you come across him this weekend, I’d suggest sticking around for a song or two.

      SING-A-LONG

We all love a sing-a-long, especially the English. Primary School Assembly Bangers will be at The Glebe all weekend, delivering all our favorite songs from our childhoods ready for you to sing.

        DRAG

2 Indie Boys From Reading will be on the Bread and Roses stage on Saturday at 2pm. Their tongue in cheek drag act pokes fun at the indie genre, and maybe those of us that indulge in it. When you need a break from the band, or you simply want to soak up some pride, catch these two!

          BOOGIE FEVER

The entirety of the Glasto Latino stage lineup this weekend is a feast for the whole body. DJ’s, dance classes, and a taste of carnival; the latino stage will be a great time for those who pack their dancing shoes.
