Daddy Yankee continues to expand his legacy by becoming the most awarded Latin songwriter of all time at the ASCAP Awards.

In the 2026 edition, the iconic artist adds its 63rd and 64th awards, reaffirming its sustained impact on Latin music at the level global.

One of the recognitions was awarded for the composition “Sonríele”, an inspiring hymn that has connected with the public. With this achievement, he maintains an uninterrupted streak of victories at the ASCAP Latin Awards since 2005, establishing himself as one of the most influential figures in music.

This milestone adds to a key year in its careerafter being named Person of the Year 2026 by the Academy Latin Recording. In addition, he recently released “ECHO”, the official theme of the World Cup with Jamaican artist Shenseea, reaffirming his presence on global stages.
