British DJ, producer and owner of Bedrock Records, John Digweed has canceled his remaining gigs this month after taking ill — ill enough to require hospitalization, according to his management.
Digweed was in North America this week, playing shows on the West Coast of the US and in Mexico. The weekend shows in Dallas, Mexico City and Guadalajara were cancelled.
“John is very ill and in the hospital,” his management said in a statement, and “due to his present condition” he would not be able to attend any of these shows.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused his fans, but we ask you to please join us in wishing for his speedy recovery.”
No further information was provided and no further updates have been made.
The Dallas show (with Sasha) was Digweed’s last event this month; his posted calendars show no other dates until October 11 at London’s Roundhouse, again with Sasha. These dates as well as two US appearances in November (November 8 at The Chocolate Factory in Brooklyn and November 9 at Chicago’s Sound-Bar) are still active.
