Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America (“BNTCA”) is hitting the road with The Gundam Base Mobile Tour as of August 7th starting in Orland Park, Illinois. However, from August 23rd and the 24th, the mobile base has been deployed to Times Square within the heart of New York City just near the TKTS building on 47th street. It is also set during the same time as Anime NYC which runs from August 23rd to the 25th, so for Gundam fans new and old in New York City or arriving to Manhattan from out of state, here is what is in store at the mobile tour .
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive Gundam merchandise from the Mobile base from Gunpla kits, figurines, and other notable Gundam related goods. At the event, fans will also be able to playtest Gundam related video games such as Gundam Breaker 4, and finally you will also be given the opportunity to a free RX-78-2 Gundam workshop kit along with the chance to assemble the model kit provided. Lastly, you will also be given a photo opportunity with a statue of the iconic RX-78-2 Gundam.
The event is free to attend and is running from August 23rd to the 24th, so if you are in the New York City area as a resident or due to attending Anime NYC, I recommend taking the time to check out the Gundam Base Mobile Tour.
