The renowned urban singer Tokischa is once again inspired by the countless stories of the neighborhood, this time she embodies the life of her friend “Candy” in her new single titled the same name.

“Candy” is an authentic, risky, irreverent, liberal girl who loves excess. In the 2 minute and 58 second dembow, Tokischa moves as a soloist with a rush of adrenaline that is projected in the speed of her rhymes, which she pronounces with her distinctive voice, which has made her known in international borders.

The single presents in its explicit verse an escape from the reality of “Candy” and the fascination of that journey to experience the excitement of the senses. In the audiovisual work directed by Raymi Paulus, Tokischa is shown embodying the personality of her friend, wearing similar styles in her way of dressing, hair, and behavior. Furthermore, the colorful music video shows Tokischa in urban scenes squandering her energetic strength, enjoying the feeling of freedom and expressing what she feels.

The single and music video for “Candy” are available on major digital music platforms. Likewise, the song is emerging as a preview of the next album by Tokischa Altagracia Peralta Juárez, the exponent’s given name.

Tokischa also performed this Sunday, October 29, at Webster Hall in a “sold out” concert where personalities such as the Mexican actress and singer Litzy were present.

It is remembered that a year of constant collaborations and artistic presentations, during the 2023 Youth Awards ceremony, Tokischa added to his achievements his award in the category of Best Dembow Collaboration for his single “Delincuente” with Anuel AA and Ñengo Flow. The music video has more than 71 million views on YouTube, while on Spotify it has more than 107 million streams.

He recently closed his successful tour of Europe in style after performing at “Lollapalooza Paris”, the most important festival in the city. The performer stood out with a “show” full of strength and sensuality. With a total of six countries, 12 cities and 15 presentations that brought together over 700 thousand people, the singer said goodbye to the old continent for the beginning of her tour through the main cities of Central America and the United States.

In addition to working on her passion to leave a mark on the music scene, Tokischa seeks to be a voice to promote female empowerment, inclusion and breaking stereotypes.
