Green Man has long been known for a festival for its natural beauty and incredible line up but there are always those that stand out, here are our 5 must see acts across the weekend
We’re off to Green Man this year.. our debut year in the Welsh mountains to see some the most eclectic collection of artists on offer at any festival across the land. There truly is so much on offer at Green Man Festival it’s pretty hard to collect into just five artists. However, we scoured the line-up, added, removed, then added a variety of artists, but finally we can unveil five artists that are truly tickling our collective pickles.
Oses
The level of excitement we have for this band is untold and whenever they roll into our green and bright pastures we endeavor to see them. However, being based in Cornwall can make this difficult and ironically our debut experience with Oses was at the 2023 SXSW (it was mind blowing). Now though, we’re incredibly excited to see them on home turf at Green Man Festival. If you know of the Osesyou know to expect a barrage of guitars and snarls, all culminating into one, intense garage rock fueled package. For newbies to Osesprepare yourselves, for you are about to have your socks blown right off your ankles.
Explosions In The Sky
The kings of post-rock are headlining the Far Out stage on the Sunday and are arguably going to be one of the most epic sets of the weekend. The band are known for their large, almost orchestral sounding instrumentation that is surely to be deeply emotional, powerful, and fantastic experience. We cannot urge you enough to catch this performance.
Tinariwen
Tinariwen blend West African traditional music with modern rock and psychedelia, creating a sound that is truly unique. The fusion is a clashing of cultures, history, and so much more, creating a rich and vivid sound that is enjoyed best in a live setting. Fortunately, we get to do so for our first time (a lot of firsts going on at Green Man for us) and we’re incredibly excited.
Personal Trainer
The Dutch septet are truly one of the greatest bands to be touring in 21st century, a band that has unbridled energy, quirky, off-kilter hooks, and truly infectious energy. The band had great success with their 2022 debut ‘Big Love Blanket’ and now they are gearing up to release their sophomore LP, so expect some new songs in this set.. very exciting indeed!
Loose Articles
The Mancunian punk outfit Loose Articles are an absolute bulldozer of a band that tears down every stage they play. Again, our first taste of these riotous punks was in a dark, dingy club in Austin, Texas, the perfect setting for these brightly colored punks to dominate. Since then, we’ve seen them support Foo Fighters, tour across the country, and released multiple singles and EP’s, not to mention dropping their debut album ‘Scream If You Wanna Go Faster’. Now, we get to witness them in the Welsh mountains and our excitement is unmatched.
