The northern cumbia orchestra, Grupo 5, announced a new collaboration with which it continues to expand its internationalization
Group 5 got together with the renowned singer Fonseca and they are about to release the song “Canto a la vida”, as announced by Elmer, Andy and Christian Yaipén through an interview they gave to the Telemundo network as part of a media tour in the United States.
“The members of Grupo 5 reveal that they will launch a collaboration with Fonseca where they mix cumbia with vallenato,” reads the description of a video that Telemundo released through its social networks.

Christian Yaipén He revealed that the song ‘Canto a la vida’ is a vallenato composed by Fonseca but to which cumbia notes were added.
“And the new song ‘Canto a la vida’ with maestro Fonseca is coming. My God! A very beautiful feat is coming. He wrote this song in vallenato, but for the feat with us, he agreed that we would put the cumbia music and he (put) the lyrics and it has turned out beautiful. We are close to releasing it and we hope that you can dance to it too,” said the singer of “Amor volví.”

Last April, Fonseca He performed with Grupo 5 at the 51st anniversary of the Monsefuana orchestra at the National Stadium. There, they surprised everyone by performing, for the first time, the song “Canto a la vida”.

As is known, Grupo 5’s latest release has been a collaboration with Mike Bahia and Guaynaa called ‘You are not an angel’whose video clip has more than 6.6 million views on the YouTube video platform.
“You Are Not an Angel” is going very well, we played it several times at the public’s request, it is in good places on the radio and we hope it reaches a much larger audience,” they said.
