The truth is that in 2016, Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago, the Puerto Rican’s real name, was arrested for illegal possession of weapons and sentenced to 30 months in prison.
Police arrested him outside a nightclub, where they seized three pistols, one of them stolen, nine magazines and 152 rounds of ammunition, according to a report by Peru’s El Comercio. After 10 months in prison, where he continued writing songs, and due to his good behavior in prison, Anuel AA was released.
Anuel AA and the accusations of mistreatment by his exes
Yailin La Más Viral, a Dominican rapper and mother of Anuel AA’s youngest daughter, claimed that she had suffered physical violence during her pregnancy. She also said that, as a father, he had ignored her after the breakup that occurred just one month after the birth of the little girl in 2023.
Previously, Anuel had already had legal problems due to the complaint made by Astrid Cuevas, mother of his first-born child. She sued him before the Family and Juvenile Court of First Instance of Puerto Rico for alleged irresponsible paternity.
