Pokemon Trading Card Game Classic launched late last year for the high price of $400. Sure, this nostalgic throwback to the original 151 Pokemon is elegantly designed and certainly looks like a high-end collector’s item. But $400 is a lot for three 60-card decks, a premium game board, and everything you need to enjoy head-to-head battles. If you’ve been waiting for a price cut, you can pick up Pokemon Trading Card Game Classic for $288 this weekend at Best Buy. Alternatively, you can record it for $293 at amazon or Walmart. It’s still expensive, of course, but at least you’re saving over $100.

The Pokemon Trading Card Game Classic collection includes three 60-card decks featuring the original first partner Pokemon inspired by the Pokemon TCG Base Set and several other iconic cards from the game’s history. Charizard, Blastoise, and Venosaur are presented as shiny foil cards. In addition to the vintage favorites, six new cards are included as well. Fans can expect Ex versions of Suicune, Lugia, and Ho-Oh to headline these new releases.

On top of that, the collection also comes with a foldable two-player game board, stackable damage counter cones, two sets of condition markers, and a toolbox case that keeps everything conveniently stored.

If you don’t want to drop nearly $300 on some Pokemon cards, there are other cool options for the original 151 Pokemon from Gen 1. The Pokemon TCG Scarlet and Violet 151 expansion set features the iconic characters with new designs. You can record the Ultra-Premium Collection, which comes with 16 booster packs, for $90 at Walmart (down from $120). You can also pick up the Elite Trainer box for $50 at Amazon. Alternatively, you can check out the Pokemon Celebrations setwhich features some of the original card art along with a 25th anniversary Pikachu logo stamped on each.
