Retired reggaeton singer Daddy Yankee shared his life testimony for the first time this Sunday morning after announcing his conversion to Christianity.
Their expressions took place in the “Refugiados en su Presencia” church located in the town of Las Piedras, as revealed by maikybackstage on her Instagram page where she shares content from urban artists.
In the video published on the aforementioned social network, Raymond Ayala, the artist’s first name, is seen with a microphone in hand and addressing the congregation.
“Today I might be on a tour making millions of dollars, but I am here completely free and I have a joy that the world did not give me,” the singer is heard saying.
In his testimony he said that he returned to church after two decades and confessed that it was pride that separated him from his relationship with God.
“It took me 20 years to come back here, but pride was what separated me from God… pride, so it is very important when we are on the path to recognize our weakness because the human being is not born with humility, the human being is born with pride. We have humility through the holy spirit. Humility is the root of all righteousness, he went on to say.
