The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyhas condemned as “an act of terrorism” a Russian drone attack against a train in the Kharkiv region of northeastern Ukraine, in which at least four of the passengers on board have died.
“In any country, a drone attack on a civilian train would be considered in the same way, purely as an act of terrorism. There would be no doubt about how to classify it neither in Europe, nor in America, nor the Arab world, nor in China or anywhere else,” Zelensky wrote in his message of condemnation on social networks.

The Ukrainian president said the attack had no “no military justification” and explained that more than 200 people were traveling on the train when it was attacked.
In a carriage that was hit by one of the three drones that were used in the attack, Zelensky added, there were 18 people at the time of impact.
The president noted that rescue teams are still searching for four missing people and that two passengers were injured, although he did not specify the severity.
