Wisin and Gabito Ballestero Unleash a Sound Tsunami with ‘Un Shot’
Iconic reggaeton pioneer Wisin continues to challenge musical boundaries with his new foray into the regional Mexican music genre. His latest single, “Un Shot,” in collaboration with noted Corrido Tumbado artist Gabito Ballestero, promises to take listeners on an eclectic musical journey.
This bold collaboration will be part of Wisin’s upcoming album, titled “Mr. W”, marking an exciting turn in his already legendary career.
“Un Shot,” produced and polished directly from La Base, Wisin’s record label, is an emotional heartbreak song that follows in the footsteps of the artist’s previous hit single, “Himalaya,” featuring Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Pedro Capó.
Wisin, excited to share this new musical adventure, declared: “I am excited to be able to share ‘Un Shot’ with all my followers in Mexico and around the world. This collaboration with Gabito Ballestero represents a new chapter in my career, and I am sure that the public will greatly enjoy this fusion of styles and cultures.”
This release follows Wisin’s three recent nominations for the Premio Lo Nuestro and a string of consecutive hits over the last year, including “Mi Exxx,” “Señorita” and “Cuerpo a Cuerpo.” These songs underscore the artist’s versatility and his ability to remain a respected leader within Latin music.
With pride, Wisin remembers the importance of Mexico in his career, highlighting his last show at the Foro Sol stadium, where he captivated more than 70,000 fans. During this event, she surprised the audience by inviting Jhayco for a mariachi performance of her diamond-certified hit “Fiel,” reaffirming his deep connection to the country and its rich musical tradition.
