
He Army Central Command USA (CENTCOM) issued this Sunday a security warning to the civilian population in Iran and warned that residential areas used by the Iranian regime for military operations lose their protected status and could become “legitimate military objectives” under international law.
According to a statement from CENTCOMIranian forces are using cities like Dezful, Isfahan and Shiraz for launching attack drones and ballistic missiles from areas surrounded by civilians.

The US stressed that, under international law, places used for military purposes lose their protected status and can become “legitimate military objectives”.
Faced with this situation, US forces urged Iranian citizens to remain in their homes.
“Iran’s terrorist regime is blatantly ignoring civilian lives by attacking our Gulf partners, while compromising the security of its own people“said the admiral Brad Coopercommander of CENTCOM.
The US military command also accused Tehran of endangering security throughout the Middle East through the deliberate and indiscriminate attack on civilian infrastructure such as airports, hotels and residential neighborhoods.
Finally, the US Army stressed that, although it takes all possible precautions to minimize collateral damage, it cannot guarantee the safety of civilians who are near facilities used by the regime for war purposes.
