The artist and exponent of the urban genre, Villano Antillano, performed days ago at a concert titled “Babilonia” at the Coca Cola Music Hall after being postponed on Saturday due to the intense rains that affected several areas of the metropolitan area last Friday.

Since the performer announced the show, it has generated multiple controversies, especially with a group of Christians and conservatives. However, the most recent one sparked a debate on social media.

According to several Internet users and fans of the rapper, members of the “Church Jesus Christ lives and reigns,” led by pastors Iván and Delmarie Figueroa, distributed Christian literature outside the venue titled “NOTICE, YOU ARE IN GREAT DANGER.”

In the text, they call on the audience present to “not be fooled or pressured” to enter the show because “God does not like what is going to happen there… Well, they exalt themselves in the darkness.”

“What friendship does light have with darkness? NONE […] You know that Jesus Christ loves you. And it is not just in words because he died on the cross to save you and that is why he has sent you this note with a WARNING message”, you can read on the flyer.

Likewise, they told the attendees that it does not matter if they “fell into the abyss” since sometimes that is “necessary” to be able to know “God’s love” towards them.

“Today you can die to yourself and bury your past to be resurrected with Jesus Christ to a new life full of hope and plenitude,” they added, followed by a short prayer where they “accept God as your savior.”

“BUT IF YOU DON’T WANT THE LORD, THERE YOU,” the writing states.

The reactions on the various social platforms were immediate. On the one hand, there are those who defend the actions of Christians because they have freedom of expression and respond to “a call to rescue lost souls.” Meanwhile, others denounced that it was an “act of persecution”, “religious fanaticism” and even encouraged a “drag show” in front of the church.
