Korn guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer has teamed up with acclaimed builder Paul Fig to create the Indigo Sludge Preamp + Fuzz, allowing fans to reproduce his signature early sound with one simple pedal. Per the official website, “The Indigo Sludge Preamp + Fuzz isn’t just another stompbox—it’s Korn history in your hands.” Named to evoke the Indigo Ranch where Korn recorded their self-titled debut and its follow-up, Life Is Peachythe pedal is designed to reproduce the sound of those two landmark albums. “It really takes you back there,” Munky admits in a recent Instagram reel. The pedal is exclusively available here.
The circuit is based on the modified fuzz pedals used during the ’94 to ’96 sessions and features true bypass, controls for Bass, Mid, Treble, Gain, Volume, Master, Tone, and an octave switch. Limited to 500 copies, the red and black pedal comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Munky. This pedal, along with the Ibanez K7 Seriesmakes channeling the sound of classics like “Blind” and “ADIDAS” is easier than ever.
Earlier this week it was announced Korn will headline the Las Vegas edition of Sick New World 2026 in April. The following month, the band will kick off their Latin American spring tour with supporting acts Spiritbox and Seven Hours After Violet.
