Unlike Estéreo Picnic, tickets to attend the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival are available without a prior reveal of its official lineup, which is usually done in January. Perhaps because Coachella offers an artistic experience more than a musical experience, which has made it one of the most important independent music festivals in the world.

As usual, Coachella 2024 will also take place in Indio, California, and for two weekends in a row: April 12 to 14 and April 19 to 21. Although the festival is expected to reveal the headliners in the coming days, the American magazine Hits Daily Double has already given some clues.

The media specialized in the music industry assures that Lana Del Rey and Tyler, The Creator would be two of the artists confirmed for this new edition of Coachella. The festival would also feature the participation of Peso Pluma.

There are other names that sound like possible headliners, but that would not yet be confirmed, such as the rappers Doja Cat and Travis Scott, the singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo and the group The Rolling Stones, which on October 20, 2023 released a new studio album, Hackney Diamonds, after seven years since the last one: Blue & Lonesome.

Rage Against the Machine was one of the bands expected to return to the Coachella stage. However, as drummer Brad Wilk announced, they will not go on tour or play live again. Another artist who would be left out in this new edition would be Dua Lipa, who would have rejected her participation in the festival for calendar reasons. . Apparently, in Shakira’s case it was the opposite: Coachela was the one who rejected her.

Hits Daily Double states that, although the Barranquilla singer’s team “seems to have done everything possible to get her a headlining position,” in the end they did not succeed. The reasons are unknown so far and neither Shakira nor Coachela have commented on the matter.
