This would be the third arrest the rapper faces in less than six months, since in October 2023 he spent nine days behind bars after being accused of physically attacking two producers.
The controversial American rapper Daniel Hernández, better known by his stage name 6ix9ine or Tekashi 6ix9ine, is once again in the news in the different international media after it was learned that he was arrested in the Dominican Republic.
The authorities of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, reported that they arrested the ‘Gooba’ singer, who was detained on charges of having committed physical and psychological violence against his romantic partner, the singer Yailin la Más Viral.
According to local media, the rapper was taken by the authorities to the Palace of Justice in the Ciudad Nueva sector of the capital.
The arrest warrant against Tekashi was imposed by Judge Kenya Romero of the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the National District and he must appear this Thursday.
The document indicates that the artist allegedly violated the singer in “several locations, such as Punta Cana,” in addition to trying to choke her, spit in her face, and tried to throw her from the second floor.
According to Univisión, Yailin’s mother, Wanda Díaz, was the one who filed the complaint against Tekashi in court and it was she who told the ‘Alofoke radio Show’ that she had also been a victim of the rapper.
“One time they were arguing, he pushed me because I got involved because he hit my daughter and threw me on the floor, the security did nothing,” the woman revealed.
Tekashi’s arrest comes amid multiple mutual accusations of physical attacks in the month of December, when several videos came to light in which it appears that Yailin attacked the rapper.
This would be the third arrest that the rapper faces in less than six months, since in October 2023 he spent nine days behind bars after the singer, Diamond ‘La Mafia’ accused him of having attacked two of his producers.
