Who knew Ricky Bobby was into house music?

This fall, Saturday night Live icon Will Ferrell will host “Ultimate DJ House Party,” a charity event to support Cancer For College. Described as a “unique and wild celebration of house music,” the philanthropic show will see Ferrell take the stage with some of the biggest electronic music artists in the world.

While the event’s website promises “some of the biggest DJs in the world,” only one act has been announced thus far. Ferrell, who in late-2023 went viral after DJing at his son’s USC frat partyyou have revealed that the superstar Swedish House Mafia trio will perform at their “Ultimate DJ House Party” in Chicago.

Ferrell joined Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso in Stockholm to film a video and reveal the news. In it, the iconic comedian and actor is seen “performing” the trio’s influential debut single “One” before bringing out “his band of him” to share the event’s time and location.

VIP tickets are available for purchase now with the general sale to follow on Thursday, July 18th. VIP packages include a pre-show onstage photo opportunity, red carpet experience, food and beverages, premium seating directly in front of the stage and more.

Proceedings from the event will benefit Cancer For College, which provides college scholarships to cancer survivors and helps them connect with employers to find jobs after graduation. The organization was formed 30 years ago by Ferrell’s college friend, Craig Pollard, a three-time survivor, according to a media alert shared with EDM.com.

Ferrell’s “Ultimate DJ House Party” is scheduled for October 26th, 2024 at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena. Learn more about the upcoming event and purchase tickets here.
