DC Studios boss James Gunn has confirmed that Superman Legacy won’t get a trailer anytime soon, and for good reason. The superhero movie doesn’t even begin filming until March. There won’t be a trailer for the movie until 2025, Gunn said on social media recently.

In a post on Threads, Gunn–who is writing and directing the movie–responded to a fan asking about when a trailer might drop. Asked if there would be a trailer in 2024, he said, “No.”

“We don’t start filming until March. Writing is basically done and has been for a while, other than a comma here, a comma there,” Gunn said.

Superman Legacy stars David Corenswet as Superman, with Rachel Brosnahan portraying Lois Lane. Nicholas Hoult, who auditioned for Superman, is playing Lex Luthor in the movie.

The film is set for release in Summer 2025. Corenswet has apparently been busy at the gym preparing for the role, as people have renamed him David Corenswole due to his major gains.

In other DC movie news, Gunn recently said he would love to work with Margot Robbie again on another DC project after the Australian actress suggested she might be finished with Harley.
