The justice of USA began declassifying this Wednesday the identities of people mentioned in court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, the financier who committed suicide in 2019 while waiting to be tried for sexual crimes. The documents are part of a defamation lawsuit filed in 2015 by Virginia Giuffreone of the main complainants of Epsteinagainst his ex-lover and partner, the British heiress Ghislaine Maxwell.

The initial set revealed Wednesday includes 40 documents with nearly 1,000 pages of testimony and statements. The total batch of files is expected to include the names of nearly 200 prominent people.
