Shakira has decided to return to Spain for two great reasons, the first of which is a professional achievement: the celebration of the Latin Grammy; award in which she is nominated in four different categories, recording of the year, song of the year, Best urban fusion/performance and Best urban song.

However, the second reason is a legal matter, since she will have to appear in the courts of Barcelona for the accusations of tax fraud that have been weighing on her for several years now and that were made by the Treasury Department of that country.

It will be the morning of this coming November 20 when the Colombian will have to give her statement in court, since her request to do so through a video call was denied. But the case is about to take a dramatic turn, because according to information from the American site La Opinión, Shakira will sue the Barcelona Prosecutor’s Office for invasion of privacy.

The site assures that to prove that the singer did not comply with the payment of taxes for the years 2012, 2013 and 2014, the time in which they claim she lived in the country, the Prosecutor’s Office managed to gather more than 100 witnesses, among them people related to her children: “A source linked to Shakira’s musical production told us that they even called parents of Milan and Sasha’s schoolmates,” the media quoted.

The situation would have enraged the “Acrostico” interpreter and her lawyers who are convinced that these actions violated her rights: “Now she plans to sue the Prosecutor’s Office for invasion of privacy, her lawyer considers that the Right to Privacy was violated,” they add

So far nothing has been confirmed and the only thing that is really a fact is that, after appearing on the Latin Grammy stage, this Thursday, November 16, he will travel to Barcelona to face the scandal.

While the hearing takes place, her children, Milan and Sasha, who also traveled with her, will remain in the care of their father, former soccer player Gerard Piqué.
