The assumptions began after the singer boasted on Instagram that Edelman was present at her birthday party on February 2 in Miami, Florida.
The program El Gordo y La Flaca reported that “several insiders say that they saw them as quite affectionate and that they did not even worry about hiding their closeness.”
“Shakira was very pleased that Julian was present and she treated him very well, although (she) does not want to make a romance official because she thinks a lot about her children,” said journalist Tanya Charry.
“They say that –Edelman– has traveled to Miami several times to visit her. For her part, although she accepts his approaches, she is focused on her children and the new tour, which she would start in May,” she added.
Edelman (37 years old) stood out during his student years as a quarterback at the College of San Mateo and then at Kent State University. In 2009, the New England Patriots chose him in the seventh round of the National Football League (NFL) Draft and he became a three-time Super Bowl champion.
