Shakira has once again rekindled rumours of an alleged feud with Karol G after comparing her experience with the Colombian singer on the song “TQG” with her song “Puntería” alongside Cardi B, showering the American with praise.

Prior to the celebration of the Premios Juventud 2024, which took place on July 25 and where Karol G became the biggest winner with 6 awards, the interpreter of “Waka Waka” gave an interview in which she revealed that she was teased, when she was younger, for her voice, in addition to revealing that life’s obstacles made her the person she is today.

In addition to the above, Gerard Piqué’s ex-partner spoke about their recent collaborations and the way in which they germinated, mentioning, first of all, the development of her hit “TQG” with her compatriot Karol G.

It is a topic in which both Karol and I felt that we were able to communicate well a life situation that we both had gone through, and also how we felt at that moment. We fully agreed, intellectually and also, I think, emotionally and affectively. We were in a very similar situation and I think that is why it fit like a glove.”

What did Shakira say about Cardi B?

After her words about the work she did with the interpreter of “Tusa,” Shakira also spoke about her collaboration with Cardi B on the song “Puntería,” which opens her most recent album “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” released last March.

Collaborating with Cardi B was one of the best experiences I’ve had, with any artist, because she’s a woman who we already know is a music icon, but personally she’s super simple, easy to understand, she was always super collaborative, affectionate, I have the best memories of her and of this collaboration.”

Following the revelation of Shakira’s interview, a large number of users, mostly Karol G followers, lashed out at the “Día de Enero” singer for allegedly using the words that were meant for Karol G on Cardi B.

In the series of comments, it was also mentioned that Shakira spoke with great emotion and joy about Cardi B, turning her statement into a warm and personal message. Meanwhile, with Karol G, the words of the also Colombian “felt” respectful but formal.

With comments like: “The way Cardi B expresses herself is different from how she talks about Karol G”, “You could see her discomfort when talking about Karol G”, among others, various Internet users did not let Shakira’s alleged “disdain” for “La Bichota” go by.

Regarding the alleged feud between the singers, it was born after Karol G met with Gerard Piqué and his partner, Clara Chía, months ago in Barcelona. Because of this, Shakira took it as a “betrayal”, causing her to invite Karol G’s ex, Anuel AA, to the launch event of her album last March.
